Finn Azaz

If he can sort his feet a bit quicker, he'll thrive here.

Right now, he's getting the ball pinched off him frequently whilst he'd trying to adjust.

Exactly "A player in there" suggests its not seen and it patently is with the tally he has racked up whether for us or Plymouth - its the same division.
Clearly is a player in there. He has very good technique and has an eye for a goal, he can chop and turn and is decent receiving the ball on the half turn. Much better than Greenwood.

Where he struggles is physical contact and losing out in pretty much every challenge he goes in for. This can stick in fans eyes so maybe his good footballing work can be overlooked. He's been ok so far but i do fancy to him have a good season next season after a full pre season with Carrick and the lads.

There is something to work with clearly.

Players on instinct know where colleagues are and have that millisecond quicker time on the ball to react and play. It's a settling in period and I am 100% confident he will be a key player for us next season

In there? Its out there - he's into double figures scoring in the Championship

Probably bad wording on my part.

I'm a big fan of his and think he is doing well for us, I just think that there is even more to come from him.

As said above he seems to have the technique and ability there already and so it is just about refining that and getting the most out of the ability. A settled run in the team will help massively with that

We haven’t had a proper goal scoring midfielder in a while. He may not be a world beater but goals are a valuable commodity for any team trying to get promoted. With a full pre season and another transfer window to bed him into the team, he could be very important to us next season.

He's an excellent footballer that's still developing an understanding of the players around him. That brings hesitancy into any creative players game, yet he's still notching assists and goals for us. I'm excited to see him with Hackney behind him. Azaz has noticeably been frustrated with the lack of ball into his feet which has led to him dropping deeper to find it himself. Can't see that being the case when Hackney returns.

There is probably a player in there somewhere but he does suffer from the ball regularly getting stuck between his feet and being robbed whilst he tries to sort them out. More than once last night. Good passer when he's not under pressure. (But of course even Barlaser could be described that way!) Like Barlaser he loses a high percentage of 50-50's he's involved in.

No problem with Azaz trying things in the dangerous areas and losing the ball. As we've seen he's crafting plenty of assists and scoring a few goals too, so it's no bad thing.

It takes him an absolute age to get a shot off.
He is extremely lightweight.

But it is early days and his numbers for Plymouth are far more productive than for us, so he could well improve here.

He needs to cut out using the old “change of direction” trick so often as well. It gets telegraphed all the time
