Anyone remember BiBi’s restaurant in the Boro ?

Linthorpe Road a few doors down from ABC. Used it many a night, great portions & we got a free starter some nights as regulars when it wasn't so busy.

I remember reading in the Gazette that Eliano had Mama Vittoria, while his now wife had Bibis.
Both lovely people.
In late 1982, I was in hospital in a side ward with a young lad called Stephen who was in a coma after being knocked over by a car in near Brambles Farm. His stepdad, a nice man, worked as a chef, I think, in Bibis.
He did come out of the coma, but sadly with disabilities.
Never went to Bibis as I was too young, but my late dad used to always rave about it.
Tried my first Escalope Parmesan (veal) from Cypriana fish grill on Cumberland road.
A guy called Gregory owned it.
It was also the first time I ever saw a donner kebab.
 
Macy’s was downstairs in Madison, Billy Paul’s was the underground pub.
Mrs Jones was the short lived restaurant/cafe which sat at the entrance to Cleveland Centre.

Fatsos was probably opened around 83/84 they them opened up Bizzy’s in the Forbes Building around 86/87

That back room in the Maddo behind the phone box did I’m sure have a name . Couldn’t you order food in there ?
The parmos were incredible in Fatso’s . Proper pork curled up off both sides of the plate . None of this chicken fairy stuff 😋
 
I used to love Xmas eve ( daytime ) in the Maddo . Remember McDonalds we’re doing a promotion on the Cleveland centre car park tickets and it was a Big Mac for 99p . When we became hungry me and my mate trawled the car park and accordingly had about 5 Big Macs each and then back to the Maddo . 🤭

The little restaurant in the Maddo did have a name, not sure if it was Winter Garden or something like that, chicken in a basket, Prawn Cocktail, the stairs down to Macy’s were accessed through the restaurant.
