šŸ™Cut your energy bills nearly in half with Octopus Tracker

Upto now for the month of September, this is my current savings on the Tracker in comparison to the flexible that we initially joined on and what we were being charged by Eon...
Still few days left of September, but no doubt will be at least a Ā£40 saving so far (plus Ā£50 credit from @ThatFragranceGuy)
Happy days.
The only issue is going to be the cost of the gas during the next 3-5months when demand increases with everyone putting their heating on and no government buffer.
Ā£1 p/kWh for Electric doesn't sound too attractive and Ā£0.30p p/kWh for gas doesn't either... Hopefully it won't get anywhere near that but...

It'll all depend on demand really, if we have a winter like last year it should be ok.

I remember having snow last year and it still being cheaper than the price cap. What made it expensive sieve was all the Ukraine stuff. All the 12 month highest electricity rates are actually from September last year rather than when you'd think. I.e dec-feb. Likewise highest gas rate 11p but it was only briefly for a short period.

I don't know if i am working it out the correct way but it looks like most your daily rates for tracker work out over the 20p mark. I am currently changing over to tracker so have been keeping an eye on the daily rates over the last week and have seen prices of 13.5p, 14.5p and 19p on Octopuses website, but none of your prices are anywhere near these. Am i missing something.

Youā€™re forgetting the standing charge šŸ‘

Looking at octopus watch it gives a summary inc standing charge

Octopus app shows gas usage in kwh, Octopus website account shows gas usage in m3. Is there any way to make this consistent across both?

Kwh makes most sense as that's what it is charged in.

Sorry didn't see this.

You could ask them or suggest it but I don't think so, tbh I only use octopus website for getting account details etc, the data available in third party apps is a lot more accessible in my opinion than the tables octopus gives
