I think alot of people forget that Matt Clarke has come back from a very serious injury and it was always going to take him time to get upto speed, wasn't he also voted fans player of the year two seasons running for Brighton. If he gets a solid pre-season under his belt, him and RVDB could be the partnership at centre back next season.
Matt who?I didn’t forget

I'm kinda confused over what I want as a CB pairing. I know I want Rav as one. Could it be Lenihan, if he returns to form and fitness, he's a quiet leader, experienced, great on the ball which suits playing out from the back. All hail big Matt Clarke!
Him and VDB would be a great pairing next season.
According to wiki when he was named West Brom’s Player of the Season for 2021–22, it was “his fourth successive such award across three clubs”… So he must have got player of the season at Pompey as well
If we stick with those two, I'd consider cashing in on Lenihan or Fry and buying a top quality CDM, still think we should go back in on Ardon Jashari or someone similar. Someone who is a dedicated CDM a quality shield in front of the back four, but also very comfortable on the ball.Clarke and Van den Berg for me.
