To be fair Engel and Dijksteel have played in a three as a RCB & LCB respectively, so we could have still done it.

Carrick seems to have almost zero belief in Dijksteel's ability to start a game in any position (unless he has zero other options).

Matt Clarke is a quality centre back. Best at the club.

I absolutely love this lad. He wins everything in the air. You can see why he's won so many player of the season awards at his previous clubs.

Lots of reasons dieng and howson returning, ayling getting match fit jones back and adding extra protection in wide areas

I think all our centre backs are pretty good and all have different attributes

Of course they have all had great runs in the side at times and then when one of them makes a mistake half the board thinks they are ***** and the never ending
who is the best pairing debate re-ignites

There isn't much between them, some are better footballing centre backs and some better penalty box defenders, i just thnk various
combos have pros and cons and can be effective against different opposition attacks, i think its a pointless debate to argue who is better than who
