You're going to ring the Police and tell them "Someone on a message board said, people on a message board I sometimes use are prone to have racist views?"
They'll get the top brass on that one.

Odd that you can't recall him. One of the most famous and prolific posters on here until the end of last year. It is highly likely you did interact at some point - most of us did!
With regard to the racist accusation, I suppose it is by default. He apparently posts on another board, a board which you claim is full of racists.

If you're talking about what I think you are talking about, wasn't that because they were abusing Yusuf in some way and this made people look more closely at the content on there and report it? Not sure its the same as saying that a board is full of racists, I cant see any action being taken there.

I think someone mentioned pedantry earlier in the thread.

You do know when someone says a message board is ‘full’ of racists. It isn’t used literally.

No, I don’t - I think it’s no more than a generalisation suggesting there are lots of racists on the site.

If that’s the case I’m not sure why a non racist would want to engage with a message board that has that reputation.

I’ve never been on it so wouldn’t know myself.

Exactly.
And knowing Erimus as we do, I would tend to think that if he is a member then that board isn't actually full of racists. Maybe the reputation it has on here is unfair.

Also, if I was a regular in a pub and heard someone say it was full of racists, I wouldn't brush it off and think "that's just a generalisation, they don't mean me".
I would feel as though I was being called that by association.

As I understand it, that was the proximate cause, although hardly an isolated incident. I'm not trying to defend said board - I'm (clumsily) trying to point out that the police will respond to complaints of that nature.

There's probably more to it, a bit of history maybe. Best leave them to it - it was the Erimus angle that intrigued me, didn't seem to fit.

And again, one final point (pedantic or otherwise).
How on earth can anyone who has been on this board for more than 6 months not remember Erimus74?
He made 23,419 posts in less than 3 years. More than 20 posts a day.
