.

I couldn't believe we are considering Cattermole or Carrick. We need someone with experience of managing players well.
As much as I'm not keen on the football he had Burnley playing Dyche is the one for me.
It’s a results business and I’m confident he’d get results. It wouldn’t be pretty but he’d fire them up and we wouldn’t concede too often. Ie Karanka. Which we know wasn’t the nicest on the eye
To be fair. Unless you’ve got strikers who will bang goals in or midfield who hit double figures you need to be well set up and hard to beat to get up the top of this league. It’s the least risk in my opinion. But I doubt he’ll come cheap. Was on fortunes at Burnlaa

I’ve just looked at skybet. Cattermole is now the favourite at 5/4 🤣

Hopefully just a case of a few people having a fiver on him based on Craig Hope’s tweet.

Gibson wouldn’t, would he?

God I hope not pal. That’s not having a dig at Lee. I’m sure he’s doing a good job at U18. But first team manager or whatever we call it these days. God no!
I'm not against the idea of him being appointed, only that it's WAAAAAY too early for him.

He'd be set up to fail and he may never recovered from it. He needs far more experience, he's got next to none.

Lee won't be our new boss 100%.... he's got a good heart obviously and he wasn't called clsttermole for no reason.. as a player he had bite ..he's really liked at the academy...but for us at this time ...if he is given the job i will be more flummoxed than I've ever been and I would expect us to go.down and really really do an 86..87....type thing and climb up from league 1...
I will always support the boro no matter who is in charge but I will find myself wanting Gibson to have a good think about what he's trying to achieve here...and maybe walk away

I know he's boro through and through but the money would now be talking more than the desire to bring back the big rimes to the Riverside.

Nothing lasts for ever...not life...most marriages end....maybe a new chairmen with active cash and a different viewpoint is needed now...

Can't believe I'm even thinking rhat but the emperors clothes are off.....

I think a big percentage are starting to think like that. We’ve been shocking for a long old time now. No direction, no plan, bit of momentum when we get new managers, we get our hopes up. Then bang. Back down to earth. All we want is a team who can consistently put some wins together, actually look like a team and build consistency. Then generally the rest will come. But year after year of poor decisions and the managers turnover it’s a joke

Can only presume catts is enjoying a chuckle to himself after getting some mates to splash cash on him in the betting stakes Seems a surreal choice for manager if true.it stinks of gibson. Im sure k. Scott is no where near this as his reccomendation.

You’d think that it would be Gibson overruling Scott if there is any semblance of truth in this.

How can they possibly think to give it to Cattermole when he didn’t even get the interim job? Or was that just Gibson and co using Leo as some sort of human shield. Honestly don’t know anymore with this club.

There‘s still time to give Catts the interim job up to the WC break.
Give him a test run to see if it could work.

That's scraping the barrel somewhat, look I'll support anyone whose manager, but it doesn't inspire me as an option

It would be on par with the Woodgate appointment for me.

Gibson got away with that mistake in the end because he acted just before it was too late, but he may not be so lucky this time around.

Would be delighted if Leo or Catts got it and were a roaring success. Both love the club. Big gamble though and I'm not sure if even Gibson is willing to risk it.

Stop certain staff coming in. Matin o Neill wanted his own staff but Gibson blocked iirc

Gibson came out saying we were going to get a top manager then promoted Southgate
I thought he didn't come because his wife was battling cancer and he didn't want to leave the Midlands.

It would be a classic Gibson move but I suspect and very much hope that this would be too Gibson, even for Gibson at the moment.
