We played with grit, passion and determination yet also had some pizzazz or class about us I thought, because we passed it when we could or when appropriate but really cut through them at times and with more belief or composure could’ve took them apart
All with a patched up team

I really like Carrick, makes me proud of my team and especially when nobody gives up - away from home, digging in and getting something from a difficult situation was worthy of high praise for me.

A draw away to Southampton if we'd had a full strength team out would've been a good result so doing it with loads out injured is superb

it was by far our strongest team yet the guys who were involved especially Gilbert who laid on the winner, worked there socks of and got the reward of a draw .... difficult watch for us but grit got us over the line and avoided a motivational sapping defeat ...
