So I make that several million french people and others (including myself) who have protested the pension reforms and who could be arrested should they travel to the UK, all on the whim of the MET and the draconian powers the Tories have given them. What a state of affairs.

That’s why you need to be wary of any legislation added for a specific purpose like counter terror laws that are there just in case etc.

As trade unions phones were tapped under this kind of pernicious ‘just in case’ type of legislation that was originally intended for counter terrorise to tap and monitor al qaeda.
