Aj v Ngannou

That was ridiculous and dangerous.

Also shows what a disgrace Fury was coming into his fight clearly not in shape. Usyk, if that goes ahead, will give him a hiding if he has the same approach to that fight:

He won’t though, will he. He clearly didn’t respect the whole event and didn’t take it seriously and he embarrassed himself in doing so.
His ‘effort’ did ensure Joshua did take it seriously though, and it showed.
But I think people need to calm down a bit and remember what this fight was.
It doesn’t really show anything regarding the outcome of an AJ/Fury contest. Bit of perspective required. You’d think Joshua just beat prime Ali the way some are going on.

It is entertaining to read though, this cycle happens all the time with AJ 😂

Looking the best he’s ever looked! While fighting Jermaine Franklin(he actually didn’t look good in this one), Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and a UFC fighter.

Even if not doing a proper training camp, a world heavyweight champ should have enough skills and power to blow someone like ngannou aside

Yes but he absolutely dispatched them all. He’s looking confident helenius and Wallin are decent boxers, and ngannou was a tough guy but couldn’t take Joshua’s power while not even moving at fury’s. AJ is persistently under rated and he shouldn’t be

All about opinions of course but I still think a fully focused Fury beats Usyk and Joshua 👍. Wilder was destroying people with punches like that until he faced Fury

Wilder was destroying nobodies though, he was dodging the most dangerous in the division and actively avoiding anyone with a good inside game. He only fought Fury the first time as he thought he was washed up.

Fury is not the fighter he was a few years ago, his joints are failing him, he’s not moving round the ring like he used to. It was evident from the third Wilder fight. Up until a few years ago Fury would have beaten AJ with ease, not so sure now. I think Usyk beats this version of Fury comfortably.

I still think the Fury vs Ngannou fight was completely scripted and the Joshua fight confirms it for me.

Great knock out from AJ.

Trouble is, we barely see the fights we actually want/deserve to see as fans.
There’s too much money involved in ducking serious threats and boxing fans have put up with it for too long.

Imagine following the PL but you never actually got to see City play Arsenal etc because of the risk of losing

All the while taking 40 odd quid out of people’s pockets to watch what equates to dross.

I don't think you can just switch it on and off though. Especially as he gets older. It's been years since we've Fury at the level he will need to be to beat Usyk or AJ.

AJ has definitely improved over the last 12 months, irrelevant of his standard of opponent. His confidence is sky high again.

Joshua, whilst not his fault, still hasn’t fought anyone particularly good since Usyk.

Wallin and Ngannou were just ridiculously overrated because Fury made a meal of them.
