Andy McDonald - MP

Half a million homes under water in the UK in the next 30 years according to the news yesterday and people are doubting why I would vote for the Greens 😲. Happy to take a photo of my ballot paper when the time comes Top Cat !
This is as likely as the ski slope and monorails bombing up linthorpe road.

You are a climate change denier then, most display a striking lack of knowledge....Were you feet cold in bed last night so global warming can't be real ?
Not a denier, but there is no way whatsoever that 500,000 homes in the UK will be under water in 2054. How many of these predictions have gone wrong by scientists who die and then have their research corrected. The scaremongering makes the headlines, the corrections dont they just pass by without drama.

Written.....
We did write or We wrote. We have written is less correct than we wrote as it requires a qualification on the number of occasions whereas we wrote implies a singular event.

We have wrote is wrong unless you have a love of local dialect, in which case it is beautiful.
Communication is equal parts elitism and understanding. If you understood but still need to correct, you are a twerp.

I am a twerp

What happened to him is a disgrace.
Actually, I saw Corbyn in a Johnson documentary, this week, and I remembered just how badly Labour and Starmer treated him.

Which ever way the wind is blowing.....that's Starmer.

Happened on Monday didn't it?

Possibly, I've only just seen it mentioned on another forum.

I now see that Simon Clarke is kicking off and demanding an explanation about whether the whip has been restored.

He made far less of a fuss about the genuinely racist and violent comments from Tory donors, funnily enough.

Because he's a (please insert your own 4 letter word).

He’s a good local MP in my experience. He helped my Nan with something about 10 years ago regarding her widow’s pension. The local council office increased her rent and she couldn’t afford to pay it. She contacted him and his assistant found out she was entitled to a widow’s pension having previously been told she wasn’t entitled to anything.

It turned out she was owed around £25,000 she should’ve been getting all the time since my Grandad died. She had no idea about any of it and ended up getting around half of what she was owed in back-dated pay. The tax office kept the rest but that was absolutely life-changing money to her. It meant she didn’t have to worry about food and heating and could actually get out and about.

Some MPs do actually do the work at ground level. I think Andy McDonald is one of those MPs.
