Andy Robertson - Liverpool

A cursory search on here shows that isn’t true. Hence the point I was making.

The absence of an irrational hatred does not equate to being a Liverpool fan.

Bit stalkerish but okay, I have definetly referenced him as boris as that's how he's portrayed in the media and how he is introduced daily. I don't care enough to Google what his real name is. The blokes a ****.

Hardly. There is a simple search function at the top. The point I was making was that being critical of using someone’s nickname to make a point is a bit silly.

So you refer to him as Boris?

I think there's a few closet Boris fans in this thread.

Not in this case, just by Marv calling him Robbo probably means he has a soft spot for Liverpool or the Scotland national team, nothing wrong with that just merely an observation.

But the logical conclusion then is that you have a soft spot for ‘Boris’.

Hernandez, Davies, Alba - there's three off the top of my head who are at least as good, if not better.

Mendy probably not far off either.

Why would you pretend you don't know Boris Johnson's surname as an excuse for why you call him Boris?

You obviously do know his surname.

It's definitely up for debate, hence why I said arguably.

In the last 3/4 seasons he's been a huge part of a Liverpool team that has won the league, been to two CL finals (and won one), and was part of that incredible PL season in which they lost to City whilst finishing on 97 points.

He's been very consistent and a huge cog in that Liverpool team.

Both he and TAA are absolutely key to the way Liverpool play. They’ve almost re-defined what it is to be a fullback. He is definitely in the conversation for best in the world.

Yeah I'd agree.

With Liverpool and the way they play, their FB's tend to be a very big part of their offensive game.

And even with that level of responsibility going forward, Robertson (daren't call him Robbo again) very rarely gets beat by his opponent from a defensive point of view.

Quite incredible piece of business buying him from Hull for around £8m.

If this one is aimed at me that isn't what was said, his real name is what's not known. After a Google its alexander Boris.

Although very much before my time, I'm guessing those stating Robertson is horrible (pretty much) must have truly hated Souness, who according to the older chaps on here was a hard bar steward. In fact, the likes of Keane and Vieria must be hated too.

When I played football, a successful team needed one or two players who could be aggressive. Team sport tends to be that way.

People don't dislike Robertson because they see him as a hard man - quite the opposite! Its the sly digs out of sight of the ref then hiding behind Van Dijk when it kicks off.
