When Rachel McClean was appointed in February she was the 15th since 2010. So we are on to 16 in 13 years.

  • Grant Shapps (2 years and 4 months)
  • Mark Prisk (1 year and 1 month)
  • Kris Hopkins (9 months)
  • Brandon Lewis (2 years)
  • Gavin Barwell (11 months)
  • Alok Sharma (7 months)
  • Dominic Raab (6 months)
  • Kit Malthouse (1 year)
  • Esther McVey (7 months)
  • Chris Pincher (2 years)
  • Stuart Andrew (5 months)
  • Marcus Jones (2 months)
  • Lee Rowley (7 weeks)
  • Lucy Frazer (3 months)
  • Rachel Maclean

Cameron said in 2015 the choice was chaos with Ed Milliband or stability with his lot. 13 housing ministers since then. 13 in 8 years.

To be fair at least 9 or 10 of those might just be Grant Shapps using aliases.

Let's see how well labour do shall we. Not well is my guess. Got to keep the house prices high to keep those boomer votes.
The fact that the Tories have done more for renters than labour managed under Blair should be embarassing to them.

They got rid of the estate agent fees. And we are still waiting for S21 to go through.
And they blocked (twice) legislation labour put forward to make rented accomodation safer.

We'll also ignore how high rents are now, largely down to Tory mismanagement of the economy.

Not sure most renters will be putting up the bunting to thank the Tories just yet.

Labour are always better for improving infrastructure and public services. Always.
We aren't talking about improving infrastructure or public services. We are talking about rental housing, where the Labour government of Blair and brown did less for us than the Tory governments of Cameron to Sunak. Which as a renter for all of those years I can confirm to be the case.

Buy to let landlords are leaving as Airbnb is more lucrative. Solution ban Airbnb. All people with a social conscience should be avoiding Airbnb bookings anyway.

Love it when people say "Yeh I'd like to see Labour do better". I know that rent wouldn't be as high, I know that I would be able to save more money, I know families would be able to feed and keep themselves warm during the winter, I know that food banks wouldn't be as needed, I know that the NHS would be in safer hands, I know the rich would be paying their fair share of taxes, I know that local services would be in public hands rather than for profiteering greedy companies, I know that the most vulnerable in society wouldn't be forgotten about, I know the country would be a better place to live for EVERYONE.
