Corbyn certainly knew what opposition meant, he had it tattooed on his forehead. We have the fixed term parliament act, FPTP, the Tories with an 80 seat majority at the 2019 GE courtesy of Corbyn. What do you expect the LOTO to do, reduce the Tory majority and win votes in the HoC by lining them up in front of a firing squad?

My concern is if they win the GE she'll be moved aside for a more "Rachael Reeves" type.

I've not checked but Labour had over 100 women MPs in the 1997 parliament, for example. The Tories didn't have anywhere near that. And I'm pretty sure Labour have on many occasions had more female MPs than the Conservatives.

I see starmer and the awful reeves are declaring they wont reverse the 2 child limit child benifit cap. There's no money in the pot so we are told, how very conservative of them both. Absolutely shameful, what they mean is they are frightened to spend a penny more rectifying any tory social neglect in case they upset bankers, the city and wavering voters

Conference is in October. Be interesting to see via input into the National Policy Forum, among others, how far the party has been Stummered.
Although there seems to be consistent, be it low level, that Sunak might call an election before things get really bad. Seems very unlikely though.

I love her but she might be too outspoken for a lot of the electorate sadly.
Jess Phillips is another outspoken MP I admire, bit surprised she hasn't got a more high profile slot in the shadow cabinet.

Not what I said. Every political thread is hijacked by a handful of starmer haters. Maybe start a Starmer thread that those of us unintetested in the same posters posting the same stuff, can just skip over it. It's boring and nothing new is ever discussed.
