Yes, the compendium of games was always a winner this time of the year. Ludo (no electricity required) a firm favourite.

This is obviously a problem for the younger generation due to the need for human interaction.

Wow, okay we get it, you don't like computer games.

Don't ball bag today's young uns, by saying they don't like to socialise. Kids today are more sociable that you oldies ever were.

It seems that this board is happy to call Tory voters scum, yet at the same time the bulk of you are awash with malice towards to the younger generation.

Seasons greetings and peace and love.
UTB 👍

Based on what metric? Kids may or may not be more or less sociable than the previous generation. That method of social interaction may have changed though.

Season’s greetings first of all mate.
Being in my mid 40s, a dad my whole adult life and working for about the last 30.
My observations are that, kids are generally quite canny. However I think, a fair few I’ve met, including some at work in their mid to late twenties is that they struggle to interact, seem to lack confidence, especially when it comes to initiating conversations but given time they are really sociable.
I think the amount of digital interaction between people has affected their ‘soft skills’
Used to love the ZX spectrum, games like atic atac, jet set Willy, later on Kick Off on the Amiga was amazing.

This is my mates kid to a tee and genie going down the autism route which has been confirmed and he's never played a computer game in his life.

These kids were out there before, it was just less understood and went undiagnosed - they were "naughty" etc.

Digital interaction is giving kids £100k+ careers in reality

How are you finding the Deck, I'm torn on whether or not to buy one. Are the games up to scratch?
Its quite a nice bit of kit. I sold mine when I got it as they were going for silly money, and i realised I wouldnt have that much time to play it but it felt like a good quality bit of gear. Only thing stopping me from buying another one is they were announced that long ago now that I feel I might as well wait for a v2.

Fair enough, has the v2 been announced yet?
Downloaded Sensible World Of Soccer on the Xbox. Spend years playing this game as a kid.
Man, I spent hours on Sensi. I loved that game as a kid. Then I discovered Championship Manager, then FM, and now play FM Touch 23 on an iPhone 14. Gotta get that footy addiction fix somehow :)

We spent NYE programming that in, thinking it might be a battle of Britain game or something 🤣

Not yet, but they'll be working on it already. Probably a whole still yet but there's def a few things they can improve on it so happy to get into it with an improved version.
