Anyone remember BiBi’s restaurant in the Boro ?

I remember reading in the Gazette that Eliano had Mama Vittoria, while his now wife had Bibis.
Both lovely people.
In late 1982, I was in hospital in a side ward with a young lad called Stephen who was in a coma after being knocked over by a car in near Brambles Farm. His stepdad, a nice man, worked as a chef, I think, in Bibis.
He did come out of the coma, but sadly with disabilities.
Never went to Bibis as I was too young, but my late dad used to always rave about it.
Tried my first Escalope Parmesan (veal) from Cypriana fish grill on Cumberland road.
A guy called Gregory owned it.
It was also the first time I ever saw a donner kebab.
the chef was my dad albert and my mam (shirley) used to wait in bibbi's now and again, stephen was alberts grandson and my nephew. my dad would of loved all these comments, thank you.

was always more of a Steves/Bibis chap than the Europa.
Or if we were coming out of The Mall it was El Grecos

Sunday nights was the Cypriana Fish Grill on Cumberland Road

My kind regards to you and your family.
I remember that Sylvester Stallone recorded a cassette for Stephen, and one of his favourite songs was Maneater by Hall and Oates. When there were technically to many visitors to his bed, Shirley used to visit me, just opposite, very kind and down to earth lady, our families helped each other at such a bad time. Albert even got me a Chinese from Ayresome St one night, as the food in the General was sometimes inedible.
