Anyone remotely interested in the Saudi League?

Genuine question.

Personally couldn't give a sh*t about it. Couldn't care less if every football galactico end up there in the next 2-3 years ..... football will survive.

Is it televised? Will it have the worldwide draw of the PL, La Liga, Serie A? Doubt it.

Hard to see where it goes in 5-10 years......and will there be a risk players in the prime of the careers get seduced by the £££££ then just disappear, or don't like it but are stuck there.

It's a strange period in football.

I have no interest in watching it. Any clips that I have seen have been very poor quality.

I think any young player going there will be damaging their career and it annoys me that many big clubs now have a financial 'get out of jail free' card. It is like China a few years back but on steroids!

No different to when Italian football was shown on C4. Many had an interest in it and many others didn’t.

I don’t think I would watch it and have very little interest in football outside of England.

I think at some point FIFA will have to introduce some measures over there.

Countries have these spells though (although not quite as extravagant as this!) Turkey, China, Russia have all had periods of crazy transfers that haven't been sustainable.

Saudi is very different however due to the unrivaled money over there, and the morals of sewer rats 👀

Yep - will be interested in watching my local team Al Nasr, the team most of my Saudi mates follow 👍🏻

Had a curious look at it. After 3 games the two teams with 100% record are the ones with the European acquisitions. Three teams play at the Prince Faisal Stadium, 2 teams at the Prince Abdullah Stadium, 2 at the Prince Mohammed Stadium, 2 teams at the King Abdullah stadium. The team at the bottom play without imports and have lost all 3 games so clearly haven't the money the team with Benzema, Kane, Romarinho and Fabinho who are top.

I have no interest in watching it.

I never watch any foreign leagues anyway, German, Italian etc. Never watch the Champions League either. Maybe watch a bit of the Premiership.

If a league doesn't involve Boro, I really can't get excited/bothered watching it.

Then you are missing out my friend

I have absolutely zero interest in it. The transparency of the attempt to sport wash the regime will never be ignored for me. that’s regardless of the really poor level of quality of many of the players and teams

I know what you mean. I do watch some PL matches, but have zero interest watching West Ham v Crystal Palace or Luton v Everton type games, so rarely bother.

Absolutely zero interest whatsoever, and I think it's embarassing how many media outlets and social media accounts have started promoting it in this country.

Horrible regime using sport to distract from their atrocities.

I'm sure it will be very popular in the Arab world (a huge audience) and there will be plenty of glory supporters from the developing world jumping on the bandwagon, so it'll be here to stay, sadly.
