Firstly, reading the gazette and the excuses they use to try and get the 5hite out of jail. Then watching police interceptors and the little fcuks have stolen cars and crashed them and burgled peoples houses yet they still get off with it. The solicitors are just as bad as the 5hite they try to defend

Its not the solicitors fault, they are only interpreting the law.
Most of the time its the law or Judge who pass the sentences.
Also the police sometimes do not do a good enough job, possibly due to cuts. This allows loop holes to be accessed by good lawyers.
If there is enough watertight evidence then any Lawyer in the world would not be able to get someone off with a crime they have committed

Are you advocating that people accused of crimes shouldn't be allowed to have legal representation ?

I think it's better than the alternative, which is that individuals shouldn't be entitled to legal defence. That's a very slippery slope that always ends in abuse of power and the innocent being punished.

No, Everyone is entitled to legal representation and all prosecutions should be rigorously tested to ensure that nobody is taking short cuts.

A bit of a general statement Sha. There are all types of lawyer, prosecutor, defence, corporate etc and all go into it for different reasons. I have no doubt there are some shysters out there, for whom it's all a game with a large pay cheque at the end, but for others its about upholding the law.

I used to live with a lad from boro who was a lawyer in public healthcare services, one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Everyone regardless of how much of a scum they are has the right to a defence. Barristers actually defend and prosecute at times. They also work very hard and have trained for years to get there.

Successive Tory governments have hammered criminal justice. They've closed courts, underfunded prisons, cut police numbers, disastrously changed probation yet still people vote for the b***ds.

I know it his 100 conviction your honour but you have to agree that he had a bad upbringing but tells me he will mend his way and I believe him blah blah blah.
