Lots of those on that list didn’t play or contribute other than the ones I’ve listed above .
From that list uche and the one January signing is just one position rather than 2 .
So we’re really missing 3 strikers realistically so about 15 goals based on last season .
The left side is probably covered now unless bola goes . Smiths will likely come in on the right . It’s all about the strikers really . We know we need midfield assistance but we’re not worse than last season and munce should be added now

He got a few minutes when we lost against QPR last season at the Riverside, but I don't think it makes too much of a difference...
He's played in front of crowds at Brentford, Coventry, Forest, Hull and Brighton. Shouldn't be anywhere near the team.
 
Here’s a q could smith play under his current deal or does he need a short term contract to be eligible

I think Daniels has been kept as 3rd choice keeper. Unlike the others he has been given a squad number, went to Portugal - and Brynn and others have been sent on loan.
I'd have hoped Brynn would be in the squad by now, but I suppose game time is better than being 3rd choice.
We do need 3 keepers in the 1st team squad though

Isn't the point that he hasn't played home games in front of a crowd, albeit wishful thinking that this was what he needed?

Not sure if it counts, but on Soccer Saturday I've definitely seen competitive games with 'a trialist' as the scorer or red carded etc.

So there must be some way of playing non-registered/non-contracted further down the pyramid?

That's pretty thin pickings on the bench. If Tav goes then McGree drops back to his position and Coburn or Akpom comes in. If Smith signs then Gibson drops out.

I don't know why people don't like Daniels. Looked a perfectly solid keeper when I've seen him. Just doesn't have the distribution.

On paper our business with goalkeepers looks top notch. Quality keeper on loan, maybes we could buy him if we went up. If not we've got another teams player of the year as back up. A young promising player who will hopefully be able to make the step up when Steffen leaves.
 
I thought Daniels was a bit better than Lumley, but not what I consider a top 6 Champo keeper.

I am being pretty criticial but look at the Preston away game I felt a top keeper would have made it a bit harder for Preston.
