Auction between Dirties and Jawdees for Tav

Also none of this is real news, both clubs will be aiming higher than an attacking championship midfielder that doesn’t score or assist.

Out of our 4 main sellable assets(Tav,Mcnair,Fry and Jones) I would say Tav is easiest to replace. Although I would only consider selling if it was a big offer with plenty of add ons.

I will be amazed if Leeds or Newcastle look at Tav. He has been Antony this season. I Think the initial report is miles wide of the mark. Whilst I look forward to some more signings in January I’m more worried about losing Fry, McNair or Jones. If we get to1st Feb with all 3 still with us it will be a good window. I don’t have anything like the same concerns about Tav. If Wilder gets in who he wants I can’t see Tav being a regular starter after the window.

I've never been sure what he is. He's probably best as an attacking central midfielder but he's not really good enough to nail down that place. I have no confidence in him being able to make the step up to the premier league. His decision making is poor and his technique is mostly hit and hope. He's not quick or strong and doesn't have a great eye for a pass/shot. He's a decent all-rounder but nothing exceptional. I don't think we'd miss him so I'd take any amount offered if it allows us to bring in some players Wilder wants.

Not that I don’t think we’d be in a strong position and should drive a hard bargain if he was to go. However, if you’re suggesting he’s anywhere near Eze’s level then you’ve lost the plot I’m afraid.
I suggested nothing of the sort.......

Jordan Pickford £25 million
Ben Godfrey £24.7 million
Ryan Sessegnon £24.3 million
James Maddison £22 million
Jarrod Bowen £19.1 million
Aaron Ramsdale £18.45 million
Eberechie Eze £16 million

Young English players with potential to develop have gone for big fees to wealthy PL clubs recently, to suggest Tav is 'worth' £5 million is brutal in my opinion.

As said above, we got that for Adam Reach in 2016, when he was a back-up Champo player for us.

Neither of them will want him now. He’s not going to save them from relegation.

Even now, he does a lot more for us than many give him credit for. With a little more maturity, I genuinely believe he can be one of the very best players in this league, and certainly grow into a PL player.

keep him, and continue to develop him, I say

If Newcastle are serious about staying up I would expect them to go for Aubameyang and Lukaku. Can’t see Tav providing the assists.

I’d take £10M plus however he is the first to be replaced in this team based on current form. Offers nothing other than graft and creates **** all, has been massively outshone by a lanky championship plodder this season (who is having a great season).
