Average price of beer where you are

A friend of a friend is at an Australian airport and just paid $18 (£9) Australian dollars for a beer, where I live in Brighton its around £6 to 7 for a pint, I think it'll topple £8 by summer next year.

Where you live, how much is an average pint?

Seemed expensive for Boro.

Just under £3 in the Woody for a pint of John Smith’s Magnet and cheaper again in the Eston & Normanby.

Not a bad fruited pale ale tbh.

Wetherspoons is around £2.30 for one of their offer pints.

I use a lot of country pubs for odd pints after walks - I have paid from £4 to £6.50 - certainly £5 is not uncommon.

hard to say an average now. every area seems to have traditional bars with old fashioned, cheap beer - and also craft beer places where people are happy to pay more for something a bit different.

Conquest is probably the closest pub to me but I hadn't been in for at least a year until a few weeks ago. I bought 3 drinks at the bar, almost fell over over when he asked for 17 quid.
