Away ticket allocation idea

Well it's probably not the best time for this as I can't see many sell out away games for remainder of season ..
But, after searching QPR ticket info for a guide on how many tickets we get , I came across this

Due to supporters request
20% of all away tickets will be held back for General Sale..

Maybe a good idea ?

Im blessed personally with maximum points , but this does seem fair to let others get a chance ?

Thoughts ??

Depends on how we are doing
Huddersfield, Rotherham, Sunderland, Leeds rarely do , to name a few
No matter what system we use people trade tickets (and points) for these closer games. Parents want to take children. Others fancy the social.

So someone who attends every single away game, could miss out over someone attending their first? It’s an awful idea.

Plenty of tickets for Preston and Leicester. It’s not a closed shop

That wouldn’t be the case if we were doing well though

I don't think it is and opens tickets up to more supporters.
But how is it fair on those who attend every game who suddenly can’t get a ticket for Leeds/Sunderland away, over someone who hasn’t bothered all season but just fancied the big games?

Even if we are doing well, we still don’t sell out every away game. Plenty of opportunities if you are prepared to travel.

Or better still get the tickets while you can and get the priority points for when demand is high

They will still have an opportunity to buy tickets, there will be just less tickets available, similar to a lower allocation. I do feel we need a loyalty points scheme but it has caused an us and them situation and this will allow those who don't always travel but might like to attend an away game the opportunity.

The present situation causes a tufty club that is hard to break into.

We had the highest average away following in the championship the season before last ?

So some people will still end up missing out over some who never go but fancy the big games? Can’t see any situation where that’s fair

It’s not hard to break into at all, if someone wants to break into it then they will likely get tickets for every remaining away game this season. Issue is the people moaning it’s a closed shop don’t want to do that, and only expect to turn up for the big games and get tickets. That’s exactly why the system is in place to stop that happening

Probably did, but we still won’t sell out at least half the away games before general sale. Plenty of opportunities to build points. People just don’t fancy the longer trips but want tickets for Sunderland/Leeds. It doesn’t work like that because it would be unfair on those who make the effort all season

I don't think it is fair that the same people are allowed to attend every week.

Not everyone is in a financial position to attend regularly.

I also note you base your argument on fans taking up the slack for the rest of this season due to the performances on the pitch.

The fairness is because someone who attends every game is doing it because they want to. It isn't a chore or a punishment. They are choosing to spend their time and money to do something they want to do. Why is it fair that the people that can afford (time and money) to go to every game can skip to the front of the queue every time and the people that want to go to the ones they can get to don't have the option because the self proclaimed super fans think they "deserve" it.

Don't give me any bull**** about making sacrifices either. Nobody would call it a sacrifice if someone went to the pub every day or the golf course.
