Ayling won’t be getting anywhere near that next season, he’s leaving Leeds and getting old. He’d do a very solid job for us though and on a free transfer the deal would make great sense….he is better than Smith too

The only way he's getting close to current money is if one of the relegated Premier League teams wants him to come in & be solid at RB.

I can't see us going anywhere near the figures you've quoted for Ayling and Greenwood, if they're accurate of course.

Alot of rubbish was brought in over the summer does carrick have some of the blame for bringing them in if not maybe he deserves a little slack.

Luke Thomas? He is absolutely woeful
 
I think the Ayling figures are probably accurate. He was a key player for Leeds when he signed that last deal. I doubt we'd pay half of that. Although I guess if it's for one season and no transfer fee it levels itself out.

I'd be stunned if O'Brien is on 'only' 15k a week.

Forest paid a fair few quid for him. Although I guess 15k would be a significant payrise to what he was on at Huddersfield. So maybe. I would have expected 20k-25k.

I would imagine 15k is within our budget. CM is an area where we have to invest. O'Brien is a decent age and a good longterm option.

Forest don’t want him, if he’s on more than 15k they’ll be subsidising that where ever he goes. For 2m he’d be a good addition. Can do a job and I feel there’s more to him that we’ve yet to see

Would pass on O'Brien & Ayling. Thomas & Greenwood would 'drive them back myself' as the saying goes. Let's be honest, last year we had great loans, this year we're trying to look on the bright side (but thinking what might have been).
