Azaz

While I do think Hackney has been awful for a few games now, I think it's pretty obvious that he isn't suited to playing further forward. He likes the game in front of him and can control the game from deep but when he's in one of those attacking midfield spots, the games a bit quicker, your touch and decision making has to be spot on he gets very sloppy on the ball.

Once Azaz has his hair sorted out it will be like having a new signing.

What. Is. Going. On. With. That??

😳😳

He was quiet today. But very early days.

Attacking midfield is a tricky position to impress right away. Any other position you can just run around a lot and endear yourself to the fans

My personal feeling is that it’ll take a while for Azaz to adjust. No disrespect to Plymouth but he was probably a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

Bit different here. I also think he’ll benefit of better players around him. Certainly ones with pace and a striker up top to play off.

He looks silky at times but I think we were just disjointed in the final 3rd today. We looked frenetic at times. But we’ve got Hackney playing advanced when it’s not his best position.

Greenwood isn’t a striker.

Thought Forss was very good today. The one cool head in the final 3rd.

Exactly. Good post.

Personally think people's opinions of his performance (Hackney) was coloured by his second half. From what I saw I really can not understand where the negativity comes from

He’s a number 10 who maybe lacks a yard of pace - probably the reason he’s at this level…. He comes into a side where every player who has any pace is out injured.

He will look a lot better when we have Jones / Lath in the team
