Bad news Re. Mexicanman

Hi , I posted this on the other board earlier today.
never actually met Derick although through this site we actually struck up a text-message friendship. We exchange phone numbers and with just 1 hour time difference we would occasionally talk on the telephone. Generally we would text each other during the Middlesbrough games .
Last August when I went to a game I sent him a few pictures from the game and my trip home.
I had just texted him a few weeks ago but hadn't heard back.
What with the 'rush' of day-to-day living I never thought too much about it .
Obviously I wish that I had.
He once told me that he'd had a great life and had travelled the world and didn't regret a thing.
He was fluent in Spanish and also able to converse using 'Mexican-Spanish'. Once I had to call him from NY and ask him to help me talk to a Mexican who I was in the room with - I was later told he had a great accent!
I'll miss our grumbles about the Boro, talking about what we both missed in the UK and just having someone to chat to during the games.
If there are any of his family etc reading this, I'm really sorry to have heard this news.

I spoke to him daily. He had some really good stories and definitely had a good fulfilling life. Just a shame it was cut short.
