Anyone in the know?
Anything wrong with tax breaks and incentives for a deprived region?People wanting to build battery plants is literally the new gold rush. Most of it is snake oil and magic beans.
None of it is commercially viable in its own right without huge tax breaks and "incentives" from the government.
Ski dome mk2
The tax breaks and incentives are for the global billion ££££ businesses not locals.Anything wrong with tax breaks and incentives for a deprived region?
Did I really read the other day an article with Houchen celebrating opening a car park or was it just a nightmare?Sadly, like much of Teesworks, I'll believe it when I see it.
Tees Valley Monitor, on Facebook, is a very interesting about the whole project.
Great work by the local MP's if this comes off
Who did ? It was a decision made by Johnson Mathey, workers will be redeployed...They let the Battery plant at Billingham close within the last few month
I've said before, we had a new front door fitted last year, got up the next morning and opened it for the first time and there was Ben. T. Houchen stood there wearing a hi viz jacket with his personal photographer snapping away. His missus was going to turn up as well, but apparently she was too busy, she had a job interview with Lord Wharton to attend, it was really cruical it was down to a shortlist of one.Did I really read the other day an article with Houchen celebrating opening a car park or was it just a nightmare?

Even neo-liberals have disclaimed the trickle down theory. My question was a genuine and open one. Perhaps an objective assessment of the number and quality of employment roles in the region pre and post this government would be interesting. Not that it matters here, but I have never, nor will I ever, vote Tory. The tax breaks and incentives are for the global billion ££££ businesses not locals.
Trickle down economics my ar5e.
