Best Steak Teesside area

Followed by Butterscotch Angel Delight . wonder if there’s a market for a restaurant with retro 80’s food ( Cod in butter sauce thread ) … some delightfully crap foods going on there. Tinned fray bentos pie anyone ?
I want a retro Wimpy bar. Burger, beans and chips followed by a knickerbocker glory 😍

Value not in Teeside, Louth in lincolnshire The Ranch -Two starters Two ten ounce sirloin and a bottle of wine Sundays and Tuesdays only £44 It was rammed on the sunday we went.

Don't most of the Teesside eateries get their steak from the same source?

I know my mate prepares them for quite a few, yet the menu prices can be miles apart.

Best steak is always from your local butcher and cooked to perfection at home.

Value wise if eating out a decent local (non chain) pub will take some beating, as it isn't difficult to cook a steak, you don't need a Michelin starred chef, just a timer, and the pub will often get their meat from the local butcher, rather than be centrally purchased and distributed out to various steakhouse chain restaurants etc.

I love cooking steaks at home but I doubt my company would be welcome in my house

Well obviously the folks on TripAdvisor do but the do not have your steak spotting talent or rudeness. Each to their own.
Not trying to rude, apologies if I came across that way. Rio is just like the fast food of steaks though. You couldn't call it gourmet. It is a good night out though as its entertaining also. Just not somewhere I could recommend if you want a really good steak.

Yeah the only one I haven't been to is Saltburn which I have heard bad things about.
Enjoyed the other 3 Tomahawks but just fancy somewhere different.
Saltburn was brutal, overcooked my steak and brought it back out (claiming the same) and said we cook to tempature and look this is medium rare. You must like yours cooked either medium or well done.
Condescending as hell

I went to Gordon Ramseys place in Liverpool a few months ago before seeing a Ricky Gervaise gig. I have to say for the price it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. Ordered medium rare and it came blue and the steak was chewy and stringy. I wouldn't recommend it.
