Blazing Saddles

Outdated language or not it's a masterpiece. Anyone else watching, just for old time's sake?
Preferred Young Frankenstein personally. Thought Blazing Saddles started off like a train but ran out of steam near the end. Young Frankenstein was brilliant from first minute to last.

Still a quality film. I'm absolutely stunned if they show an unedited version.

I think its one of those where they give a warning and you 'watch at own risk'. The funny thing is I'm sure some folk will watch it knowing what's in it just to complain.

I noticed it was trending on twitter.

I would argue films like Scum are 'worse'.

My brother-in-law always just laughed at the beans part but then the only part of Life of Brian he got was the Biggus Dickus scene.:oops:

There was a rash of RWNJs praising Blazing Saddles, saying "they'd never make this nowadays", "politically incorrect", etc. apparently blithely unaware that it is a satire on racism! Richard Prior was co-writer on it and was to have played the sheriff but the studio wouldn't touch him.

Stupid is as stupid does.
