Bologna Trip upcoming

I really hope you ain’t going with BA by the way …

Enjo

You have a great location that’s for sure.
One challenge - the statue of Neptune is clearly recognisable as a man😎. There is a story about the size of his manhood ….

There are so many good places to eat and drink it seems churlish to offers advice ….
If you want tho - we loved this place.
Bonus point if you can find the 2 ex Boro players who have eaten here

Bars
Lovely bar - enough off the beaten track to be tourist free ur close to where you are

Camera A Sud

And lastly
Context - if I had walked past this place with my partner there is no way she’d have said we should go in.
My son had researched it with some locals.
It’s a kind of a spit n sawdust wine bar.
Ridiculously cheap good wine and …. The deal is you take your own food in, sit down, buy a glass or 2 and crack on.
We decided to go back the next evening for a pre drink so booked a spot. The only condition, if you book, was to spend 7 euros per head. Harder than you think when it is 13 euro for a bottle of good white.
It was a special occasion for us so we had a bottle of brill french bubbly which was half the price of anywhere else. They don’t speak much English but are up for the odd tourist.
Again - really close to the centre.

There is a great walk to church of St Luca - about 5km (quite hilly towards the end). Takes you out of town through a gorgeous area and to Bologna’s footy stadium.
Great walking, great views - take water and you can fill your bottles at the top.

In general - the city is just great for mooching about.
Note the flags in the main square - particularly the white one with the Red Cross then work out the relevance ,,

If you need any more help - let me know.

I really hope you ain’t going with BA by the way …

Enjoy
