Boris pulls out

Nope. They have literally destroyed the economy through racism which led them to vote for Truss instead of Sunak.
Their party, their choice.

They were given the choice between two shythouses, they had to pick one. Obviously they went for the whitest one but it's their party, their choice.

Their next choice will f*CK up as well, which one do you want them to pick?

I can't take much pleasure from BJ getting humiliated like this because the turd who gets the job is going to be just as bad as he was. or probably even worse.

Most people don't know this, but our country has a plug. It's here, in Norton. It's hidden underground, near the fairy grove, close to where the orphanage disappeared down that sinkhole. If I pull that plug out, then this entire sh*tty island will sink in to the sea. I'm going to do that later on, when I take the dog out for his walk. We'll be fine. We're going to swim to Finland. Best of luck to the rest of you.

Of course they should, it's their party
Disagree, the only people who should select the leader of a governing party, and hence prime minister, are it's MPs who were democratically elected by the country as a whole (whether we like it or not). We are after all a parliamentary democracy. Letting party members vote may be democratic in party terms but is completely undemocratic in terms of the nation of which the prime minister is the leader. However if the party is in opposition they can use whatever process they want to select a leader.

Is that the same Sunak who as Chancellor of the Exchequer just hand-waved away billions of pounds of fraud?

The same bloke who thought eating-out during a pandemic was a good idea?

Forgive me for thinking the Conservative Party members may have been acting rationally rather than being massive racists (even if they may also be massive racists).

Can MPs abstain from backing a candidate if they don't think either/ any is suitable. (I guess there would be no point) - I just wondered if there [legally] has to be 357 votes cast by 2pm, or if the total can be less?

and if that is the case (which it is), then those leaders should not be treated as presidents, should not be playing personality politics, and should absolutely get no protection or privilge from prosecution for such things as breaking the law in regards to covid regulation. They should be held to exactly the same standards as every other MP, and forced to resign when breaking standards, teh same as any backbencher would
