Boro move to Digital Ticketing 🎟️

Not a fan of digital only. Used to love going through our dads/uncles/cousins old ticket stub collection of matches, gigs etc. Find it quite sad that today's generation will have no physical evidence of events
They could have a folder in their inbox with all their e-confirmations?

You've answered a completely different point. I was responding to one about speed getting through a barrier. I live in London. I encounter barriers with people ahead fiddling with their smartphones on a daily basis. It's not quicker.
How can it take longer to get a phone out over a ticket out of your wallet?

For those buying or collecting on the day it also saves a 20 minute queue

Experience over the last few years of working on the turnstile. The card is way slower. People have the cash ready or the turnstile has the change ready.

The same goes for buying drinks in a pub, service has slowed down considerably with modern methods of registering and payments.
Barely anyone uses cash anymore, but not sure how it can be quicker sorting cash and change over applepay which takes less than two seconds to process

You're wrong, the majority use cash at a turnstile. We had back to back turnstiles, one cash, one card. Cash had more punters and still faster

I know a couple of people who share a Season Ticket, I wonder how they are going to manage that? Or If I can't go how do I let someone else use my ticket?

I didn't say it did take longer. But I was responding to someone who said it was quicker. Though now you point it out, once your card is out of your wallet all you have to do is put it on/into a reader. If it's on your 'phone then there's a couple of more actions you have to do before you put it on the reader.

But that's not the main point. I'm actually not against having it as an option. I'm against it being compulsory which is what the club appear to be doing.
