Money is important to players but its rarely said how much so publicly.
Money is a important obvioiusly because what you can buy with it, but it is important because its measures your worth and thus your status. Evidence players getting quite upset when they find out a player team member is say earning £150k/week and they only earn £120k/week and they believe they are just as useful to the team. This shows the pecking order which is quite a sensitve area to many males in particular.
My guess is Bournemouth have offered more money or bigger contract than Forest to Tav.
I am sure Tav would have stayed at the Boro if we were promoted last year, even with our dealings this Summer its allways going to be at least a 70% we would not be promoted. Say if we have signed 2 strikers with the Spence money I still think the EPL now option would have been paramount - the post match Preston reaction was a bit of a clue. I still hoped he would give it another season.
