Boro's Confirmed 2021/22 Squad List

The teacher in me does not like the combination of names in full and “Matt” Crooks. Presuming Matt is not his actual name (Matthew)

I notice that Nicky Gyimah-Bio who played for our U23s as a trialist last week is not listed in Peterboroughs main squad or U21s......I'm guessing he rejected a contract with them which is why he was on trial with us. Probably be a small fee to sign him up with bonuses if he progresses.

Stojanovic still here and in the 23
Fisher injured and not in it

Presumably a new 25 (if we have that many) needs to be submitted in early February?

Olusanya and Jones not homegrown? Must be a mistake?
This is how it's defined

A “Home Grown Player” is defined in the (Rule 33.8) as a player who:

  • irrespective of their nationality or age, has been registered with either:
    • their current club (who is a member of the EFL); and/or
    • a club and/or any other football club affiliated with the Football Association (“FA“) or Football Association of Wales (for example, EPL or non-league clubs)
    • for a period, continuous or non-continuous, of three seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which they turn 21)

The squad are all senior professionals surely, or are the youth players in that squad too?
I think the difference between a senior pro and a pro is that senior pros regularly train with the first team squad. So players like Harry Green and Josh Wells only ever train with the youth squad (so far). Whereas Connor Malley and Sol Brynn have trained with first team regularly.

Corcaigh is right. All the players in the Contracted U21 list now have pro contracts. There is another group who are 1st, 2nd or 3rd years scholars who arent in that list who havent reached pro yet.
