It's not contempt. It's well researched that as people we can be very easily influenced. Each person has biases and tends to make quick decisions based on them. Suggestion, priming and lots of other things can be used to make sure people think a certain way.

Yeah I guess deflection is all you have left. You can no longer defend the disaster that is brexit.

Not that you could very successfully in the first place. It takes a big man to admit they were wrong. You could still make yourself look less silly for being taken in by the lies. You KNOW it's a terrible thing all you have to do is free yourself and admit it.

It's very wise. Do it I take it from the fact yiu now entirely deflect from brexit you finally realise what a bad idea it was? It's been a while but you got there in the end. All you needed to do was admit it. That's the thing I can understand about brexiters. They are doubling down and getting angry whilst at the same time acknowledging they can no longer defend it by deflecting from all the issues It's caused. I don't see why you can't just admit your mistakes and we can work out how to fix things.

You know I wish you had been standing in the ballot box as people had made their votes. They would have seen the light. Just a 5 minute talk from you would have shown everyone the way.
And the result would have been ........

So how do we fix it ? Keep banging on , on a footy message board. You are doing you bit I suppose and influencing 0.0000000000000000000000000001 % of the population.

If we could somehow harness the energy from your fingers on the keyboard and tie it to a generator and feed it in to the national grid that might help things

Yet you're the one who voted it in & been banging on about it for 5 years, starting thread after thread after, name calling posters, threatening to take your ball home, then you jumped on a thread when I was talking about gardening & robins about Brexit again & I'm angry

Is there something wrong with you like the other guy on this thread desperately defending it? I don't think so. So maybe it's stubbornness? Which is only commendable up to a point. Maybe you're embarrassed you were suckered in by all the lies? Don't be. Honestly. Many were.

I think this thread was started purely to get posters fighting among themselves, it starts out ok, few for this & that, then a few more join in, then it starts, stupid, idiots, etc, etc & before you know it there a 4, 5 even 6 pages of the same stuff that's been mentioned time & time again

I think Adi has explained this though. It's not entrenched arguments that's a fallacy. One side isn't bringing anything to the table. Certain people are blindly defending brexit, against all evidence. Even just deflecting and insulting because they know they have no evidence.

I haven't seen a leaver on here who isn't willing to listen to the other side. The problem now is the other side has zero defence. They are now relying on deflection and these personal arguments. It's blatantly clear they can no longer defend brexit yet they carry one. As I have obliquely mentioned: hundredfold is just a horrible, nasty person. There is something not right with him so I give up.

The frustration is with people like erimus. Who know they can't defend brexit and have given up any semblance of facts. Instead of admitting their mistakes they rely on deflection and triggering these personal arguments.
