Can’t wait for the game tonight

Tough one to call this. Given our record against the top half teams so far, I fancy our chances on the back of Blackburn's recent form and given that they're missing Armstrong as well as other key first team players through injury and Covid-19 symptoms.

There won't be a lot of goals given our defensive record so far so I'm going to have another 1-0 win for the Boro.
 
Yeah Armstrong is meant to be injured but guess we will see on that. I hope he is
 
Yep looking forward to the game too, nights tonight so hopefully I will be able to catch snippets on the radio
 
Is it scary that I feel confident about tonight.
When was the last time you could at that about an away game?
Well that's put the mockers on that!
 
I see a fairly difficult game for boro tonight. We have done well against teams that don't score a lot of goals as we struggle to get more than 1 goal per game.

Blackburn are averaging 2 goals per game and conceding slightly less than 2 goals per game.

I would expect our defence to make it difficult for Blackburn to score but I can see them getting 1, so it's a 1-1 or 1-2 for me tonight.

I'm not sure us Boro fans have looked forward to games as much for a few years. It appears that everything in and around the club is 'on the up' (U18s and U23s top of respective leagues).

I think its a great time to play Blackburn as naff form and 5-6 players out (including Armstrong who's scored 9). I also fully expect it to be a scrappy affair with very little in it.

I would actually take draws from both games this week and go into the international break still undefeated👍. Also hopefully no injuries or suspensions picked up.

My heart says scrappy Boro 0-1 win. I would probably go 0-0 if I was a betting man.

We dont need to be thought of as genuine challenges, lets just keep it between ourselves & just sneak up under the radar, but with having our 12th man in the dugoput in NM thats easier said than done
 
The thing is ; we've got goals in us everywhere ; saville, Tav, Howson from midfield...McNair & Johnson can also score as we have seen. Then you have Britt and Chuba along with Roberts. There really is goal scorers all over the team. We could and should have a couple of games this season whereby we spank someone as all our chances are converted and a 4 or 5 goal haul wouldn't be a big surprise.
Could tonight be that night ?
Wouldn't surprise me. equally, for a 1-1 or 1-0 typical Boro moment. :unsure:
