Carabao Cup - Last 16 draw

Wouldn't mind going to this double header as I will be home for both. A week in devon is never a bad holiday. Doubt I'll get tickets though as I have no priority points with working away.

Just reading some guides for away fans, according to them the terrace behind the goal holds 950, which is divided in two sections, the smaller one holding 200. The seats if we get them will hold up to 350. So we could have up to 1300 tickets. I think that would be enough.
If this was 35 years ago, you would have a load of Boro out on the street behind the away terrace, which backs directly on to it , trying to chance it and climb over the short drystone wall and the fence sitting on top of it, or if the stewards weren't really paying attention and left the gate unattended to the away end , some chancers would just need to take two steps from the outside pavement and they be on the terrace, but thankfully stuff doesn't happen like that these days even if the away end hasn't changed much in essence.

Like many on here, I have attended the last three rounds, so I can’t stop now despite the distance. The janner geordies at St James park, should be a good night.
Been to the Met Office in Exeter about a dozen times for meetings, it’s a nice city.
If it’s on the Telly, you can bet your bottom dollar our friend, Georgie Friend will be in the studio.

Surprised there are that many.
Wrexham?
Fleetwood will be one.
AFC Wimbledon in their new guise.
Forest Green Rovers yep.
Bristol Rovers?
Stevenage?
Sutton I think yes.
Harrogate Town as well.

That’s my guess without cheating, how many right?
Wrexham? Have you no memory of our FA Cup defeat there under Robson ( also remember Dave Smallman too in 1974). Also we played Sutton twice in the Cup too. Bristol Rovers - went to a couple of away games at Bath when they left Eastville.

My guess would be

Forest Green
Cheltenham
Stevenage
Crawley
Morecambe
Salford City
Fleetwood

I have been down here 24 years, so have a feel for Exeter and their results, I always keep an eye out for them. They are prone to getting whippings even in agood seasons, but conversely just as they have had bad results they are also likely to go on a winning streak with very good results mixed in with them. I'm definitely not taking them for granted, I don't think any of us should.

Annoyed I've used all my annual leave, would be well up for this one. It's not one of the 92 usually possible for the casual goer :) And I've got a two hour head start on those travelling from the NE!

Exeter are a proper club too
It’s Fan owned and has been for 20 years

There can be life after a chairman…….
Very much so , they were taken to the cleaners by two fraudsters from South Wales, who became Chairmen, which left the club in a terrible position, https://www.theguardian.com/football/2007/apr/25/newsstory.sport5
The club fans are very proud of what they are now, they definitely have a world wide fan base, attracting people who don't want the big glamour but a genuine club.

Great draw considering those left in it and a great chance to progress and more importantly, build a winning mentality.
Save the big boys until the final and then if we were to win it all the trophy virgins up the road would be able to roll out the Mickey Mouse Cup jibes 😁

That’s the joy of the league cup it doesn’t take long until it starts to get really interesting beat Exeter and it’s the quarter final.
