Carling Cup Celebration 29th Feb at Boro Town Hall

Itinerary is a bit vague, just confirmed the timings that were advertised in the original event description :ROFLMAO: No final guest list, no set agenda of what will happen when the guests are on stage, nothing. We've got our tickets but haven't got high hopes for it. If it's true that Southgate/Juninho won't be there, then it's poor form to not be updating ticket holders about it.

I have to say the whole event has been terribly organised.

The tickets were sold as a flash sale, the information since has been none existent. The itinerary was an embarrassment, no further information than we already had. Still have no confirmation as to who is going to actually be there tomorrow.

If Southgate and Juninho aren’t going as advertised I wouldn’t have bothered buying tickets, certainly not at the prices they charged.

Perhaps they want to surprise you.
Maybe it will be a pleasant surprise.

“Headlining the event’s guest list are cup-lifting club captain and now England boss Gareth Southgate, as well as talismanic fan favourite Juninho, while we’re also delighted to be bringing Franck Queudrue, George Boateng, Stewart Downing, Massimo Maccarone and Szilard Nemeth back to the Boro. We are hopeful of confirming more special guests from the iconic victorious team in due course.”

They haven’t even confirmed the ones who were meant to be attending, never mind confirming extra ones.

"Good evening,

Thank you once again for supporting tomorrow evening’s Carling Cup 20th anniversary event – we hope you’re looking forward to it as much as we are!

Unfortunately, Juninho has had to send his apologies, but we’re delighted to say that the Little Fella will still be able to join us on the night with a live video link from Brazil.

“Hi guys. Unfortunately, I’m not able to be with you in person. I have some issues here in Brazil with my club. And I cannot be away from them at this moment. I am so sorry but I hope you are understanding. But I will still be able to participate with you through Zoom! So I hope to see all of you at the event. Thanks again for the understanding. Bye!”

We’ve also had some good news in that Bolo Zenden has confirmed his attendance and will be joining Gareth Southgate, Stuart Downing, Franck Queudrue, George Boateng, and Szilard Nemeth. Massimo Maccarone also landed in the country yesterday and can’t wait for the event.

We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow when we can all celebrate THE greatest day in our history.

UTB!"
