Carrick gets the sack

Graham Potter ffs

hahaha as much as I would love that, we would just be in the same position come a season's time. Another manager let down in the transfer window and broken promises by the board, and he will just be selecting any old side waiting for the bullet ..

Then repeat

I would love Colin back to save us from the drop. Would love to see what he thinks of this bunch ....

I actually don't want Carrick to be sacked or didn't want rather ... but tonight, something fked up is going on. I am convinced he will have moved on within the week. Such a shame what we went from to this, but the way the club reacted to losing Akpom, Giles, Archer, Ramsey ... some of the worst business I have ever seen done IMO ... how naive and reckless, in all honesty.
Yep
What happened to the Akpom money?

Carrick isn’t to blame, Gibson and his pals (Scott and Bauser) are. The club is shambolic! Year upon year the same thing happens and the one constant remains - Gibson.

Assume you mean Scott not Smith?
Scott is the DOF who oversees the football side of the club, recruitment etc, Bausor overseas the financial side, keeps the club well within FFP. Gibson is the owner who ploughs money into the club as and when allowed. The money received from the sale of Bola and Akpom has been spent on this summer’s signings and to lower the debt. Carrick has his input into the signings and agrees yes or no, he then needs to coach them how he wants them to set up and play. The team has been disrupted with the injuries to full backs. I’m sure if a settled team could be put out week after week then we would see an improvement.

Fixed that for you! Also Gibson could actually invest a further £8m a year in the club but doesn't. Investments and Loans are two different things, not to be mixed up.

Yes the side has had some disruption in the fullback position, but that's not really been the weakest side of our team (apart from Engel), our CM has been pretty poor, especially when howson has played. How many times has been ball watching and not marking his man? He doesn't have the legs for it any more sadly, as I like howson. But it's time for O'brian to show what he's capable of.

The manager needs to step up and stop persisting with the likes of Silvera and Crooks in the starting lineup, I reckon if Latte Lath, Jones started instead of Silvera and Crooks last night we could of won it.

Arrange a weekly friendly against Darlo / Pools / Shildon / Bish / Marske / Whitby / Guisbro an Stockton Town - put some of these new lads in an teach em to toughen up, play on spud fields and learn to avoid tough tackles and gristle. I dont know if that would do any good, but it might improve attendances?

Potter said the other day he wants a Champions League team. Oh the hubris. I guess he'd take a non-relegation threatened Premier League club. Palace or West Ham maybe.

(checks notes). That ain't us.

"Not so great Sir Alex. The bins won 3-1".

Just for his attitude and will to win, and the facts he's a; internal and b; not employed by anyone else, so fits the usual profile....

I'd give Grant a month to see if he can whip/beat/cajole some spirit and fight into them.

Graham Potter

Gone from Chelsea to 'Boro in less than a year?

Why bother with Potter. Just go and ask City for Pep. Much more realistic..

Cheers Steve - and they say you never comment...

More likely to get Graham Rix than Graham Potter

We're going to end up with dyche aren't we. With joey Barton as his assistant. And Peter Reid as DoF.

Carrick has to take his share of the blame. He and his staff believed that the teams we've put out this season are the best we have to win those games. He is coaching them on a day to day basis. He has been let down badly but he's also made some very strange decisions, and it started with leaving Akpom out at Luton.

Sir Alex once managed St mirren, klopp - Mainz, and Mourinho - Uniao de leiria.
I blame recruitment for not finding managers of this ilk.
