So the formation will be what? 0-3-2-2-0?Just play the players from last year

ExactlyWe're only missing 3 main players from when Carrick took over.
Dieng is a good replacement for Steffen.
We're still figuring out Giles' position.
Then there's Akpom.
Bar that, you can field 8 of the 11 that had us winning games at the start of Carrick's time here.
But I'm not sure making a whole host of changes between matches again is going to help, and Howson's been one of the biggest weaknesses this season.
ExactlyBuild from the back, we conceed far to many goals, let's get tighter and make it harder for the opposition, just now it's way to easy

Sounds solid.

I might have to.Have you dropped this into an email for him?
I don't think he is.Dieng is a good replacement for Steffen.
I don't think he is.
Steffan was a better keeper and really helped with retaining possession and our attacking play, as he wasn't just happy to receive the ball & pass it on, he was comfortable to hold on to it long enough to draw in a forward to close him down, he then passed it well creating opportunities for overloads further up the pitch.
He's 4th keeper at Man City & working his way back from injury, I'd be happy resigning him in January.
Yet playing 4231 is working really wellFeel like I reflexively roll my eyes whenever fans say to play 4-4-2.
The club is a shamblesAlmost like there is more to it than the manager just going "Alright lads, stand in these positions!" and nothing else, isn't it.
The trouble is one of those players we are missing has probably been more important to the way we play than any other player we have had in my entire time watching the club. We're only missing 3 main players from when Carrick took over.
