Still a long way to go in the season of course, but given a significantly weakened team and a boat load of injuries to contend with, the fact we are so close to the top 6 I think is pretty impressive. Lots of young improven players added too.

Add in a horrendous start, which some managers wouldn't have recovered from, and you have to be impressed by what we've seen so far.
 
Cliché, but hell be a better manager for all the problems this season rather than just continuing his form from last.

My only small gripe was his team selection in the first few games. Just wasn't working and he was sticking with it. Method in his madness I suppose 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
 
Him and the coaches deserve huge credit. Carrick has remained calm mainly (he was a bit annoyed after the Hull game) and never criticised the players.
 
He's been great, the things he's been challenged with this season will make him better in the long run. My only gripe, and I hope he gets better at this, he waits too late to make substitutions, if things aren't working you need to make the hard decisions at the right time.
 
I think a lot of decent managers would have done well last season with Akpom having the season of his life, plus archer Ramsey Giles etc

This season is all down to carricks superb coaching and management, and the young players now starting to repay the faith he placed in them
 
didn't see the game yesterday as I was at my sons 40th birthday.

Caught up with the game today and some of our passing was an absolute joy. Carrick has repeated all season that the squad is good enough and if one player is missing he trusts the one he picks in their place.

Given the team yesterday, you could see what Carrick was aiming for early in the season with his team selections.
 
I'm delighted with the improvement in the squad, let's be honest we thought the squad was poor but the young lads are doing very well.
We have found one or two potentially big players who could turn out to be very special.
