That sounds revoltingBasically yeah. It's like eating a quiche but filled with the most densely packed, tasty pizza flavour you've ever had. Couple of slices and you need a lie down!

Lou Malnatis......... great call.I love Chicago style pizza. If anyone is in London then Japes is a great place for one
If ever in the states then get some Lou Malnatis
Love Detroit pizza as well and easy to make your own with an appropriate pizza pan - Slice in a boro does an ok version of these
I don't think it's like quiche but it is very dense and heavy on cheese and sauce
They're small but very filling
ALDI do the best stuffed crust pizza in my opinion. But you still can't beat a proper one ordered over the phoneHow do you people rate it?
I’ve just had a pepperoni pizza for my tea and i gave it an 8/10.
Stuffed crust with loaded pepperoni.
£3 as well. Bargain in my opinion. Loads better than Asda’s finest.
Is Detroit the square thin style? Think I had one a few years back in NYC.I love Chicago style pizza. If anyone is in London then Japes is a great place for one

Detroit is quite a thick crust cooked in a square or rectangular tin. They're usually layered with a heavy amount of cheese with sauce on the top. The tins are inexpensive and because of amount of cheese they are very filling and easy to make at home in a regular oven. The cheese drips down the size of the tin meaning they have a crispy cheese edge along the doughIs Detroit the square thin style? Think I had one a few years back in NYC.
Yep, that's the one. And this was the shop in NYC: https://www.emmysquaredpizza.com/Detroit is quite a thick crust cooked in a square or rectangular tin. There used to be a well know pizza restaurant in London called the Chicago Pizza Pie Factory. Think it was housed in Hanover Square if I am not mistaken. It was massive with over 250 covers. Closed in the late 90sAh that makes sense as to why I've heard Americans call them 'pizza pies' then.

looks greasier than a deep fried pizza crunch you get in Scotland. Looks Vile.A Lou Malnati's Chicago Classic deep dish pizza and a Lou Malnati's pepperoni deep dish View attachment 49654View attachment 49655
A couple of years ago Chicago Town pizzas were uncookable and always ended up sloppy but something has changed, and if you cook them correctly, the dough rises and they are very good value for money. How do you people rate it?

Not actually greasy at all (except the fat from the pepperoni as it's cooked)looks greasier than a deep fried pizza crunch you get in Scotland. Looks Vile.
Yeah it was in Hanover Square. It was set up by a guy from Chicago who had moved to UK. There were a few around Europe also, I worked on setting up the Madrid one in 1990. In pre Internet days, hours and hours of Chicago radio were taped and played as the soundtrack to the restaurants along with loads of videos of Bears, Blackhawks, Cubs and Bulls matches which were shipped in to be played in the bar area. Toilets always confused customers as they were simply titled 'Elton and 'Olivia-Newton'. Owner was killed in a car crash and it ran its course as 90s progressedThere used to be a well know pizza restaurant in London called the Chicago Pizza Pie Factory.
