Cov Presser

To be honest I am not in the least bit worried about what happens on Monday because the side will not be the same as the one that lines up the following weekend that’s for sure. It’s all about the playoffs. Two cup ties followed by another hopefully.

Hopefully some mind games and kidology. I find our drop in form, injury list and resting of players a touch worrying.

If we play well and go up you look like a genius, if we have another poor game and loss and and go into the play-offs losing three on the bounce I don't think it helps us psychologically at all, and brings some of our managers decisions into question for me.

If we are without Dijksteel, Howson and Giles who on earth plays i the back four? Drop to a three and put an extra man in midfield?

Bilongo or Mowatt at left back and move Bola to CB?

We're 11th in form table, Coventry are 3rd. They'd be a very stern test at full strength, and we could end up playing them three times in a row.
Maybe Fry is ready or the illusive clarke or darnell Fisher, although for monday, i expect the back line to be Smith, Mcnair, Lenihan, Giles or Bola

Sir Alex Ferguson used to play mind games over injuries and give little away to media - when United were building up to Finals or crucial games which had something on them. Carrick appears to have picked up that tactic from his mentor. Its always what he doesnt say which is most interesting (y)
Agree. As much as I want information on injuries I like that he keeps things tight within the group, I think it promotes confidence in the players that says, nothing gets through and you have your backs covered by us, the management team.
I think it’s really clever and important
