Middlesbrough's Seny Dieng has interest from Premier League and European clubs ahead of a busy summer of trading for goalkeepers.

That would be incredibly annoying, but understandable.

I know money talks, but I would hate to see him join a premier league club and then spend most of the time sat on the bench whilst we scrabble around looking for a decent replacement.

Brilliant keeper so I'm not surprised at all that there would be prem interest. He's actually the keeper Man U should have got instead of Onana probably.

Dieng is so calm and measured in possession. Also it is like having an extra centre back at times with his reading of the game. His shot stopping and traditional goalkeeping job is almost secondary but I'd say he does that as well if not better than most too.

Im sure he wouldnt but the chance to double or triple his salary would be too hard to resist for any of us

Dieng for £2 million or Onana for £40 million. There is hardly any difference in their ability.

He's a very good keeper and excellent with the ball at his feet which is paramount for pretty much all top sides now.
Academy kids getting taught from a very young age to use the keeper as an extra player in possession.

During possession drills..... the coaching cue that I am hearing more and more is...

"which player on the pitch is never marked?"

Until we go up, this speculation will be rife every, single transfer window.
If our players impress then it is only natural that clubs in higher divisions will take interest.
And, if we do get £10m for him, or whatever, then this is a healthy way to run a Champo club - sell players at a good profit then reinvest.
