No we weren't, it was 1-1. That would have put us ahead and we'd probably have won the game. Watch the highlights.
Regarding Hulls second. Fry makes a mistake heading unchallenged straight to their player, Dijksteel makes a mistake in overcommitting to the ball allowing his man to skin him, and Barlaser makes a mistake in trying to control the ball instead of clearing it. All unintentional, all regrettable, all common. As someone already has said we just move on, win as a team, lose as a team.

Well, I don't think I have been abusive ... but what I have done, is to counter the certainty with which Barlaser has been declared useless, unfit for purpose, bound to be dropped etc, with an equally forthright defence of him. The lad is a professional footballer, and he does his best for the team I have supported through thick and thin for over 50 years... he deserves that much.

I haven't said anyone has (on this thread), but it has happened previously for sure. I remember the Tav threads created by a particular poster (now banned) after every game and the abuse was shocking.

It wasn't an equally forthright defence. @Corcaigh_the_Cat put forward an equally forthright defence.

What you did was state people that have a different opinion than you are wrong alongside some other snidey passive aggressive comments.

Like I said earlier, I'm happy to forward my opinion and I'm happy to listen to take others opinions. I would never display the arrogance to write somebody else's opinion off as wrong. I may counter it with my own. I will call out if a post is factually wrong, like I did with yours earlier.

As for "we win as a team, we lose as a team", this is a forum designed for discussion. Some players will be criticised. Some will be praised. The manager will get criticised. The manager will get praised. The chairman will get criticised. The chairman will get praised. If you can't put forward an opinion here, whether it be positive or negative, where can you put it forward? Sometimes a player will split opinion more than others. Barlaser is one of those players. Rochemback was the same. Marmite players.

What you did was say "He will be dropped to the bench as soon as Hackney is available". Such certainty. And such arrogance to suggest that Carrick didn't really mean what he said about Barlaser's qualities. Carrick signed Barlaser having followed his progress through the ranks at Newcastle. He did so because he knows that he can do a certain set of things for the team. You seem to think you know better than him.

And yes, this is a forum for discussion. Don't get all wet legged when someone takes the **** a bit, or God forbid, suggests that you're wrong, statto.

That is clearly an opinion, i obviously do not have the knowledge to know whether this will happen, but it doesn't surprise me in the slightest that you cannot see the difference in the manor in which yours and my posts were written.

I gave you the correct stats you wrongly referred to 🤡

Well that was an unexpectedly chewy exchange. Entertaining though.👏

For what it's worth, I thought it odd that Barlaser played the deeper role, sometimes almost as a sweeper. I thought Howson would be more suited to that.
