Dana Malt - Boro Podcast

In sure you realise we normally wear red home and away unless there is a colour clash.
Do you know why we wore the away kit yesterday? Maybe hoping to boost sales of that particular shirt before Christmas.
We wore our away kit at an away game.. don’t see the problem

It’s a great podcast and all 3 of them are good to listen to. Dana seems to get more attention than the other 2 but I think it’s worth saying that Jonny is a great podcast host.

I’ve listened to them since day one and it’s a really good listen. The only time Dana herself has ever annoyed me was during the latter stages of the Warnock reign. Other than that she’s usually fairly spot on.

I echo all the thoughts here and hope that she can propel her media career through everything MFC, although I’m sure she’ll have to expand her range.

I subscribe to the podcast and did so in the very beginnings, but it still lacks subscribers and views. Although I quite liked what Dana added this week and that was an insight to certain moves of Hackney and how he supplements the attack through range of passing. She added a nice graphic on key moves etc.

Maybe fans who want more in the line of pre and post match information the Boro breakdown podcast is a good listen.

Opinions.. everyone has them. Wasn’t someone moaning about us wearing our away kits against Norwich.. away?
Depends on your stance, some people see it as a 2nd kit. It gets called an away kit cos it’s only wore away from home.

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it mind

Not sure if it was the reason, but Norwich play in green/yellow.

Playing in red would have made things uncomfortable for colour blind fans.

Last season there were a couple of high profile colour blind clashes in the Premier League. Football authoritues and tv companies received a lot of complaints and there were a lot of apologies. I imagine Norwich City and Plymouth matches are now more carefully monitored.

Plenty of people are still fairly unaware of podcasts or at least how popular they are. They will have heard her on the radio basically being part of the post match summary team and wondering why she gets the opportunity when other fans, podcasters or budding journalists don’t. The fact that she’s female plays into the narrative that women are being pushed into mainstream roles undeservedly. Unfortunately a lot of people believe that to be true.
Boro Breakdown was recently nominated for a national award. Someone able to articulate with a microphone on an award winning podcast is quite obviously going to be a great voice for a Boro radio station. Dana has a 1st class honours degree in media.
Dana has written for Fly Me To The Moon fanzine for two seasons.
A very good writer. A good podcaster. A talented young Boro fan.

There is no problem, I just wonder why we did it. Your 'it's called an away kit' reason is nonsense and you know it.
Otherwise, we would always wear it away from home. And never wear the 3rd kit.

No, it’s not nonsense. Away kits exist, they have existed for a while and their name (which is universally accepted) describes their use.

Very good as are all 3. Was also impressed this week how she called out our fans who booed Blackpool taking the knee.

Yes Newy. I am aware of their name and of their existence. I am also aware that they are usually only worn if there is a colour clash.
If the explanation is so simple then how come we normally wear the 'Home Kit' for away matches?
Why don't we wear the 'Away Kit' for every away match?
I think the colour-blind issue might be the reason.
