Dean Smith to Sheff Wed apparently

I think they could be another team challenging for top 6.
This is going to be a tough old season.

I thought Sheff Wed would be up there, definitely top 10 - so I'm glad Smith is going there to make sure they dont.

Feels a bit meh to me. In this league it's not that easy to just buy your way out for all but a few, so you want a coach who'll find a new way to conjure a bit of magic out of what you've got and what you can afford.

And that isn't spelled D-E-A-N-S-M-I-T-H

Team full of championship failures, Windass, Smith and Wilks in the final third all struggled for goals at this level. Iorfa, Johnson, Hunt in the defensive third are failures. Bannans legs can't go on forever either. It's a fairly old squad. They need probably 7 or 8 new first team players to challenge.

Was outstanding at Norwich.....errrr......

Strikes me as another Wilder type manager, had a couple of good spells with a couple of clubs but for some reason the media think he's the new Pep.

Nah, nothing to worry about here.

Why does everyone think the L1 promotion teams are going to be really strong this year, except Plymouth who won the league weirdly and are tipped for relegation? Can't see it myself. They've got squads of L1 players and they don't have massive budgets. Sunderland did well last season but I think they had a few decent players (and a good manager).

A good mate of mine is a Sheff Wed fan, he will be happy if they not relegated by April he said. Said there is a lot of unrest

Think he's a good manager, started Brentford's rise and did well at Villa, where I thought he was unlucky to get the sack.

Norwich didn't do anything but we'll see how they do this season as a comparison.

Sheff Wed are one of the teams that don't worry me in the slightest.

They have just binned off a manager who broke a number of records last season and got them promoted via the play offs.

They clearly have plenty of problems behind the scenes, plus Dean Smith isn't exactly an amazing manager.
