Derby Board

Seemed like a similar challenge to the one he was sent off for at Reading which was later rescinded. 50:50 challenge. Seen them given but probably just a free kick and a booking to whichever one of them didn't get there first which in this case was Crooks.

Don’t think it was a red even watching it back.
What are those “highlights” though? Half of it is misplaced passed and nothing fouls?
The referee falling over was definitely a highlight of the match.

I get the feeling the guys stream went down for the second half. Because that did give a good overview of the first 45 minutes but missed all of the great play and chances in the second half.

He grabbed at Tav and yanked him just before the box. That was a yellow for a deliberate foul. Then Lawrence violently shoved Tav twice who did well not to react, then Lawrence put his head into Tavs. It wasn't a full headbutt, but, it was an act of violence and in the letter of the law a red. Remember Aliadieres red all those years ago, that's all it takes for it to be a red.
Yeah, when I've watched it back he does just push his head into Tavs' face, but he does it twice. Fair enough, Tav does appear to grab hold of his shirt off the ball leading up to it, but it doesn't excuse Lawrences' reaciton. He grabs Tavs' arm and violently swings him around as well, which as you say could have been another yellow.

Think it was just frustration to be honest. Todays' game had the feel of a local derby.

they both had a grab at each other to be honest, but only one lost his rag

That was 100% a 50/50 challenge, credit to both players for going in so wholeheartedly.
Probably fair to be a yellow, PL ref was in charge, he knows what he's doing.

The worst thing about that red was the extra game ban for a frivolous appeal.

I’ve enjoyed reading their board the last couple weeks to see what they had to say about our club. Had a few laughs.

However, I’ve never known such a deluded fan base. I thought Newcastle were bad, but Derby County take it to another level. Blame everybody and everything other then themselves at every given opportunity.

Some of the stuff they are coming out with is so stupid its almost as if they're taking the pish. Its a level of absurdity even the jawdees would struggle to match.

Had a good view of the Crooks challenge 50/50 as others have said, never a red card. Might have been a touch late but marginal. Ref called it right yellow card 👍
