Derby County administrator appeals 12 point deduction!

So how did everyone else manage?
Loads of lower division clubs are on the edge. Only a handful have filed for administration of which Derby are among the best known clubs. Doesn't mean they'll be the last. I imagine Boro will have been living on borrowings supported by Steve Gibson.

Fortunately UEFA has temporary emergency measures for FFP or many clubs would be in trouble.

How many of them sold their stadium to themselves for £80 million the year before the pandemic though?

The situation that Derby find themselves in is a product of years of financial irresponsibility. It started way before COVID and no doubt will result in more punishment once the true extent of their malfeasance is exposed.

I'm not convinced this is the idea of the delightful Mr. Ashley though, surely he would want all the punishment resolved before he bought the club? Indeed were they to escape this punishment might it not make the club worth more as a Championship club (and therefore commanding a higher purchase price)?

Apparently Mike Ashley is interested in buying them... would probably a good thing for Derby unfortunately
