Djed on his way back

Spence can't be compared with Ramirez scenario. GR was a regular Uruguay international. He was a bigger and more proven player than Djed Spence (2021). DJ is still learning his trade - his peak years are still at least 2 years off.

Ted - The Norwich pen was Coulson?

We have nothing at all to lose bringing him back and getting him playing under Wilder and Knill and then making a decision about him in the Summer.

Latest update on Djed Spence is hardly encouraging. It appears apparent he really doesn’t fancy a return to the Riverside. Wilder says he will base a decision in the interests of the club. That is fine and absolutely right. The conundrum is what is the best decision? Certainly be interesting to see how this plays out

Apparently it's 'complicated' and we need to do 'what's best for the boy and the club'.

So it doesn't overly sound like he's coming back. I'm wondering if the 'best for the club' bit means we may sell him to forest? I would say a loan doesn't really benefit us.

I think they could probably afford him at around 3mil (ish). Throw in a few clauses and I'd definitely have a sell on percentage included.

3mill isn't 'best for the club', it'll be a higher fee than that

At fault for Birmingham's goal yesterday, player ran in behind him and scored.
Oh dear Jonny!
Player makes mistake! Shocker:eek::love:;)(y)🥔
They were playing Hull by the way.

Here`s the ratings in the Nottingham Post:

Brice Samba: Some of his distribution wasn’t quite up to his usual standard, and was a little careless with the ball at his feet at times. Not tested too often, but made a good save right at the end. Rating: 7/10

Joe Worrall: Growing in confidence whenever he has the ball. Developing into a very good footballer, as well as a solid defender. Not much got past him. Rating: 8/10

Ryan Yates: Started off in defence, where he looked really comfortable - composed on the ball and playing some neat passes. Moved into the centre when Forest had to reshuffle. Rating: 8/10

Scott McKenna: At ease in either a three or four-man defence, just getting on with the job. Made some important clearances when Hull had their moments. Rating: 8/10

Djed Spence: Switched off for the visitors’ goal as he was caught out. Going forward, however, he was excellent. Could watch his first-half back-flick to Johnson on repeat all day. Rating: 7.5/10

Jack Colback: Forced into the left-back role again once Osei-Tutu departed. Did a job, but not where he’s at his best. Had been pulling the strings in the centre of the pitch. Rating: 8/10

James Garner: Really hitting his stride now, back to the kind of form he showed last season - even if his set-pieces could perhaps do with a bit of work at times. Rating: 7.5/10

Jordi Osei-Tutu: A real shame to see him forced off. Had been really bright when he was on the pitch, starting to show what he can do. Just desperately unlucky with injuries. Rating: 7/10

Brennan Johnson: That touch! Sublime bit of control, and a delightful finish to get on the scoresheet. Complete and utter class. Thoroughly deserved, too - and a joy to watch. Rating: 9/10

Philip Zinckernagel: Not too far away from getting on the scoresheet, with a header which drew a very good save. Worked incredibly hard, even if he didn’t always get the rewards to show for it. Rating: 7/10

Lewis Grabban: Cool as you like from the spot, despite having to wait a while to take the penalty - and having missed a couple of decent chances in the first half. Then teed up the winner with a great bit of play - and turn of pace - down the flank. Rating: 8.5/10

SUBS

Alex Mighten (for Osei-Tutu, 40mins): Had made an impact when he came on, forging an opening before the break and then winning the penalty. Looked in some discomfort when he went down, though. Rating: 7/10

Joao Carvalho (for Mighten, 57mins): A big chance to impress as he made his first appearance since August. Didn’t have too many touches of the ball, though. Rating: 6/10

Tobias Figueiredo (for Zinckernagel, 79mins): Helped his team to see out the win as they kept the Tigers at bay in the closing minutes. Rating: 6/10

Subs not used: Horvath, Bong, Cafu, Taylor.

At fault for the goal yet gets a 7.5 out of 10. I’d be questioning the ability of the person that’s writing those scores personally.

Very rarely for Trees. 🌳🌳🌳
To be fair I can't claim to have watched him every game for Forest, or any game for that matter, other than highlights, but he's obviously playing well.

He'd be perfect for CW's system, but could you leave Jones out? Probably not, so it will be intersting to see what the club does with Spence come the New Year.

I’d want £20m for him the way people are going on about him. He’s the next Cafu by the sounds of it.

I know it was Coulson. Im saying Warnockck has form for this kind of thing and not only should Spence be brought back / given a second cjance so should Coulson
