Any other Forest players we may want in exchange?
Hard to tell, they have pushed the boundaries of FFP for 3 or 4 seasons in a bad attempt to gain promotion. They can't have a lot of wiggle room for signings, unless they can offload first.Trees arent completely skint.
They're averaging 26k for the season, decent crowds, I'd only sell to them if it wipes out their budget for the winter, spending to stand still, while giving us the money to improve, I'm not sure 5mill is enough, maybe 7 or 8. We also have to be reticent that selling him to them will free up a loan spot for them, so we really need to make sure we get top dollar or they might loan a prem player to fill the squad spot that is freed upForest are getting 28000 crowds. I lived down there for for five years and it has a big population. Give us £5M for Spence plus sell on clauses or stuff them and we get him back.
Yeah want them to finally release Ameobi for usAny other Forest players we may want in exchange?
From a sporting/points perspective maybe. Not a financial one. Regardless of any conversation around us or them going up, we would be £5 million or whatever better off and they would have less budget. We 'may' get a couple of signings over the line (possibly ones Forest would have wanted but now can't pursue) that Wilder desperately wants and we storm up the league leaving them in our wake.So it’s not ok to leave him there on loan but is ok to sell him to Forest - a promotion rival? I’m sorry this is illogical!
I don't think anyone has suggested ruling out selling him elsewhere and plenty are in favour of bringing him back, even to fulfill a squad role. But as you say, he can only play for us or them, which will surely have a limiting effect on any suitors till the end of the season you would think? They aren’t the only options though! We can bring him back, alert lower positioned Prem clubs he is available ( although can’t play for anyone else this season)If he is such an asset there will be a bite from a bigger club than Forest who are willing to stump up more money potentially
At least we get money to reinvest, and they would have to be highest bidder to buy him. Better than having him be their star player while still on our books. Not really that illogical is it?So it’s not ok to leave him there on loan but is ok to sell him to Forest - a promotion rival? I’m sorry this is illogical!
And that isn’t what I said…… No mention of the highest bidderAt least we get money to reinvest, and they would have to be highest bidder to buy him. Better than having him be their star player while still on our books. Not really that illogical is it?
Someone posted detailed stats for Spence and Jones on twitter the other day. As a RB/RWB Jones is in the top 10% of all attacking attributes in the league, Djed is behind him in almost all those stats.Jones has been in the EFL team of the week for the past 3 games at Right Wingback. That's getting in ahead of Spence.
